As part of the annual Spirit of Brigid Festival, St Brigid’s Cathedral in Kildare will welcome visitors from Wednesday, 29th January to Wednesday, 5th February, offering a unique opportunity to explore one of Ireland’s most historic religious sites.

The cathedral will be open daily from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the exception of the morning of Sunday, 2nd February, when it will be closed for preparations ahead of a special concert. However, visitors can still attend two key events later that day – the Patronal Festival at 3:00 PM and an exclusive Hot Press Magazine concert at 8:00 PM.

The Spirit of Brigid Festival celebrates the life and legacy of St Brigid, one of Ireland’s most revered saints and a symbol of faith, wisdom, and community. The festival, which coincides with St Brigid’s Day on 1st February, brings together cultural, spiritual, and musical events, drawing locals and visitors alike to Kildare town.

St Brigid’s Cathedral, a landmark of early Christian heritage, offers a deep connection to the saint’s legacy, making it a focal point for reflection and celebration during the festival. Organisers look forward to welcoming guests throughout the week, inviting them to experience the cathedral’s rich history, spiritual significance, and vibrant cultural offerings.
