The Kildare Town Community First Responders (CFR) group kicked off their second training session of 2025 this week, focusing on scene and patient assessment—a crucial skill in emergency response.

With volunteers at the heart of their mission, the session reinforced the importance of going back to basics, ensuring that responders are fully prepared to act swiftly and efficiently in life-threatening situations.

A Commitment to Saving Lives

CFR Kildare Town plays a vital role in the local community, working alongside the National Ambulance Service to provide immediate assistance before emergency services arrive. From CPR and defibrillator use to emergency scene management, their training ensures they are ready to respond when every second counts.

The group expressed their appreciation for all those who attended the session, saying:
“Thanks to everyone who came along ❤️. In an emergency, always call 999 or 112.”
